just my cough can become a cause of dispute for the both of them.. i guess it's really time to look for new furniture.. :(
anw i was on the lrt platform when i witnessed these trio of about age 13 perhaps, 2 of them were fooling ard, where one of them "tried" to push another off the platform. the platform attendant saw it and told them off about how dangerous it was. although the message was intended for all 3 of them, he appeared to say it to the 3rd person who was a girl. the girl retaliated by saying:" eh which eye of yours saw me pushing him ah? " and said it in a totally rude typical ah lian way. the attendant scolded her and told them if they continued to talk to him in this way, he's gonna send them downstairs and call the police (or whatsoever, couldnt hear clearly). the 2 girls then laughed and said:" oh we're so scared. stupid lah!" the attendant couldnt take it and told them to go downstairs and they were like:" try forcing us". in the end, the attendant managed to get all 3 of them to go to the control station to deal with them.
idk if it's jst because their friends were ard, which gives them an additional sense of false courage to retaliate like tht. i seriously think kids these days are getting from bad to worse, and they like to imagine themselves as the greatest and everyone has to subdue to them.
in any case, i really dont want to imagine myself being caught in the situation where i have to handle such kids. but sadly, i know such incidents are happening all the time and it's what makes me feel like i've made a wrong choice to be a teacher. i really don't know if i'm still going the right way.
